Artistic evaluation is the process of reviewing a dancer or artistic professional based on creative, technical and personal criteria.

Unlike traditional recruitment, artistic evaluation is not only about experience or qualifications. It can include technique, presence, style, interpretation, movement quality, musicality, creativity, potential, personality and artistic fit.

A good artistic evaluation process gives hiring teams the structure to make thoughtful decisions while still allowing space for instinct, taste and artistic judgement.
