Audition

An audition is a selection process where dancers or performers are reviewed for a role, company, project, programme or opportunity.

Auditions can happen in person, online or through a combination of digital preselection and live evaluation. They may include class, repertoire, improvisation, interviews, video submissions or staged review rounds.

Modern audition processes often begin long before the studio audition itself, with application forms, video reviews, team collaboration and shortlist decisions.
