Improvisation

Improvisation is the creation of movement, text, sound or performance material in the moment.

In auditions, improvisation tasks are often used to assess creativity, responsiveness, presence, risk-taking, musicality, decision-making and adaptability.

Improvisation can reveal qualities that are difficult to see through fixed material alone.
