Monologue

A monologue is a spoken performance delivered by one actor or performer.

In theatre and musical theatre auditions, monologues are often used to assess acting ability, interpretation, voice, emotional range, timing, presence and connection to text.

Applicants may be asked to prepare a classical monologue, contemporary monologue, comedic text, dramatic text or a piece connected to the production style.
