Company-controlled data retention clarified
We clarified how retention works for company workspace data: companies decide how long active-workspace records are kept, while Lanced provides deletion tools and applies specific lifecycle periods after defined events.
Companies using Lanced act as Controllers for applications, submitted materials, review records and saved artist records in their workspaces. Lanced does not impose a platform-wide maximum on those records while a workspace is active. Every plan lets a company delete individual applications, Calls and saved artist records at any time, and Lanced will also delete Customer Personal Data on documented instruction at no additional charge. We are expanding these controls with automatic per-call retention settings and workspace-wide retention policies. Both are coming soon and will let companies decide in advance how long records should remain before automatic deletion. The revised DPA and Security Statement distinguish these company decisions from lifecycle periods that begin after defined events, including a Solo Pass Call closing, a downgrade to a free profile, or a workspace deletion request.
